Thinking about thinking
Thinking about thinking is basically reflecting on your thoughts. For most people, metacognition kicks up at about age11. It is helpful so you know why you came up with whatever you did.

Responding with wonderment and awe
Responding with wonderment and awe is about communing with the world around them. People who have mastered this habit of mind always have an "I can" attitude. These people have a passion for learning and they strive for mastery.
Quote: The most beautiful experience in the world is the experience of the mysterious."
Albert Einstein

Gathering data with all senses
To be able to gather data with all senses is to interpret everything you see, feel, smell, hear, and taste around you. Those people who shy away from touching or tasting things narrow their input of data by only using some of their senses to observe things.
Quote: Observe perpetually. Henry James

Managing Impulsivity
When you manage your impulses you pretty much think before you act. You plan out what you are going to do next. If you have trouble with it you don't really think about what your doing.
Quote: The ability to deny impulse in the service of a goal.

Thinking and communicating with clarity

Applying past knowledge to knew situations
Someone who applies past knowledge to knew situations learn from their mistakes and try not to make the same ones twice. They can use knowledge from their past to support current statements they make.
Quote: "I've never made a mistake. I've only learned from experience."
Thomas A. Edison

Listening to others

Taking responsible risks

Creating, imagining and innovating
All people have the ability to create ingenious products, techniques, and solutions. You have to develop that ability. Creative people think of different ways to do something, examining different possibilities and altering them. "The future is not some place that we are going to but one we are creating."

Persisting
Persisting is when someone is able to deal with problems in different ways if one way does not work. They know how to collect data about their statements. They know how to set up their statements.

Living in the moment
Living in the moment is taking risks and having fun, because you never know when you aren't going to be able to do something fun now.
Quote: "Live in the moment and make it so beautiful so that it will be worth remembering"- Fanny Crosby

Questioning and posing problems
I think that questioning and posing problems means that sometimes you have to ask a lot of questions and look at problems in different ways to solve other problems. I believe that you have to look at things at a new angle in order to solve problems more accurately. It might be difficult to do this but sometimes you just have to challenge yourself in order to take a step further in life.
Quote: "The formulation of a problem is often more essential than its solution, which may be merely a matter of mathematical or experimental skill...To raise new questions, new possibilities, to regard old problems from a new angle, requires creative imagination and marks real advances." -Albert Einstein
